Refund Policy
We want every Lodestar user to feel confident pressing the “subscribe” button. This policy lays out, in plain language, when a refund applies and how to ask for one.
1. Cooling-off window — 7 days
If you purchased a Lodestar subscription (Basic, Premium, or Executive) and you have NOT yet used the paid features bundled with that tier, you can request a full refund within 7 days of the original charge. “Used” means:
- You generated a chart-grounded chat session.
- You downloaded a paid PDF or DOCX report.
- You unlocked a deep-dive (career / wealth / health / etc.).
- You consumed any Premium-gated feature for one or more charts.
If none of the above happened, email us and we’ll refund the full charge in full back to your original payment method.
2. Already-delivered readings
Once a reading has been generated and delivered to your account, the underlying compute (deterministic chart calculation + LLM narrative + cross-reviewer pass) has already run and Lodestar has been billed by its sub-processors for that work. These charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
If a reading failed to deliver, came back incomplete, or has obviously corrupted output, that’s a different story — see §4 (Service issues).
3. Monthly subscriptions — cancel any time
Lodestar subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current paid period. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a monthly cycle unless your jurisdiction legally requires it (e.g. some EU consumer-rights regimes).
4. Service issues
If Lodestar fails to deliver the service you paid for — a reading that never generates after 24 hours, a PDF that won’t download, a chat panel that won’t respond — please email us. We’ll either fix the issue or refund the affected charge. We don’t haggle over honest bugs.
5. Duplicate / mistaken / fraudulent charges
If you see a charge from Lodestar that you didn’t make, you were billed twice, or someone used your card without permission, contact us immediately. We’ll refund the charge in full with no time limit. We also cooperate with your card issuer’s dispute process.
6. Free tier
The teaser landing (“Ask the Universe Anything”), the initial chart compute, and the public daily-sky page are free of charge. No payment means no refund — nothing changes hands.
7. How to request a refund
Email support@lodestarastrology.com from the email address on your account. Include:
- The date of the charge.
- The last 4 digits of the card used (so we can match it).
- A one-line reason — helps us improve.
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds typically reach your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback — we can almost always resolve it faster directly. Unjustified chargebacks may result in your account being closed and any unused balance forfeited.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll signal significant changes in-app or by email. The “last updated” date at the top is your tell.
