Terms of Service

Welcome to Lodestar Astrology. These Terms govern your use of our website at lodestarastrology.com and any related applications (collectively, the “Service”). By using Lodestar, you agree to these Terms.

1. Reflective guidance only

Lodestar provides Vedic and KP astrology readings, transit reports, compatibility analyses, and related narrative content for reflective and entertainment purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Do not delay seeking professional advice because of something you read here.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lodestar. If you’re accessing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your account

• You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the security of your password and any magic-link emails sent to you.
• Provide accurate birth details — the engine is deterministic; garbage in, garbage out.
• One account per person. Sharing accounts dilutes the personalization Lodestar relies on.
• You can delete your account any time from Account → Delete my account. Hard deletion completes within 30 days.

4. Subscriptions, billing, refunds

• Some features require a paid plan, billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel any time from Account — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: within 14 days of first purchase, email support@lodestarastrology.com and we’ll refund in full, no questions. After 14 days, refunds are discretionary.
• Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply based on your billing address.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t do any of the following:

• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract content from Lodestar to build a competing service.
• Reverse-engineer the engine, API, or astrology calculations.
• Submit content that’s illegal, defamatory, or violates someone else’s rights.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywall, or security measures.
• Use Lodestar to harm, harass, or surveil another person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your content

When you submit birth data, partner data, questions, or any other content to Lodestar, you grant us a limited license to process and display it in the ways necessary to deliver the Service to you. We don’t claim ownership of your content and we don’t share or sell it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. AI-augmented narratives

Some readings include narrative interpretations generated with the help of large language models (Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI, via the Emergent universal router). These narratives are deterministically grounded in your chart but may contain interpretive variation. They are not infallible. Treat them as a thoughtful starting point, not a verdict.

8. Intellectual property

The Lodestar name, logo, design, code, content, and engine are owned by Lodestar Astrology and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share screenshots of your own readings for personal, non-commercial use, with attribution.

9. Third-party services

Lodestar relies on third-party services (Stripe for payments, Resend for email, PostHog for analytics, Cloudflare for CDN, MongoDB Atlas for database, Emergent for AI routing). Their terms govern your use of their portions of the experience.

10. Service availability

We aim for high availability, but we don’t guarantee Lodestar will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, or migration without prior notice when necessary.

11. Disclaimers

Lodestar is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lodestar Astrology and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the prior 12 months, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Lodestar Astrology is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by email or in-app banner. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
